संतसंगे याचा वास सर्वकाळ I
संचला सकळ मूर्तिमंत II
घालुनिया काळ अवघा बाहेरी I
त्यासीच अंतरी वास दिला II
आपुलेसे जीही नाही उरो दिले I
चोजविता भले ऐशी स्थळे II
तुका म्हणे नाही झाकत परिमळ I
चंदनाचे स्थळ चंदनचि II

Enlightened Being is the One who is on the path of awakening. He looks upon all the world's phenomena like a blind person who can now see. Just like a lotus flower breaking the surface of water, the Enlightened Being breaks through the surface of our deluded perceptions of world. Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that One must ardently seek the proximity of an awakened soul who has transcended beyond the body centric thinking. He says,
The un manifested Supreme Consciousness reveals itself in the earthly presence of an Enlightened Being. Their triumph over the weaknesses of human personality such as lust, anger create a space deep within their hearts for the Supreme Lord to reside there permanently.
Illustrating this with beautiful analogy, Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that vicinage of Sandalwood is full of its overwhelming aroma. Just like a fragrance bespeaks the presence of Sandalwood, the presence of illuminated soul rarely gets unnoticed. "
