It says ,
" There are three ways to sense the Divine. It may be through the portrayal by someone else or as a layman or by deciphering it's intricacies. The perceptions change with the feelings of devotion with which One seeks the Divine. Saint Tukaram Maharaj has illustrated a beautiful analogy. He says, a drop of rain water of Swati Nakshatra reflects in three manifestations.
It may reward an ordinary looking oyster to get good fortune of manifesting a pearl in its womb. But if it falls in the mouth of a snake it transforms into poison. Similarly if it falls on the cotton crop then it may ruin the crop entirely. Therefore One can reap the rewards of his devotion depending on the intensity and trueness of devotional feelings held within.
In another analogy Saint Tukaram Maharaj says that to see food, to describe or hear about it, or to consume it are entirely distinct activities. It is the feelings from within which decide the rewards One gets. Saint Tukaram Maharaj says that for a Gemstone expert a diamond alone is enough to provide the highest and most perfect aesthetic experience of the wonders of nature , however for a layman it may seem to be nothing but a hailstone which are small balls of ice that fall like rain from the sky. "
