कुमुदिनी काय जाणे परिमळ I
भ्रमर सकळ भोगितसे II
तैसे तुज ठावे नाही तुझे नाम I
आम्हीच ते प्रेमसुख जाणों II
माते तृण बाळा दुधाची ते गोडी I
ज्याची नये जोड़ी त्यासी कामा II
तुका म्हणे मुक्ताफळ शिंपी पोटी I
नाही त्याची भेटी भोग तिये II

It says ,
" A lotus flower is unaware of the fragrance it emanates. But the bumblebee relishes it's tantalising aroma with delight.
Though the Divine Lord is unaware of it , His true devotee knows with utmost reverence, the sweetness of His Name.
The cow eats grass and the milk it produces is of no use to herself ,but her calf relishes the milk of her mother in contentment.
And hence Saint Tukaram Maharaj says that emanations from within are entirely useless for the self.
The Divine Lord plants a tiny grain of sand into an Oyster to create a beautiful pearl and places it in the vast ocean to be found like a precious treasure. But as soon as it leaves it's abode , it is adored and relished by everyone else except the Oyster. "
