" It is said that peace of mind comes from within and hence it is futile to seek it elsewhere. Until we realise the absolute truth that it is only the Divine Lord who is the source of peace within, the wandering mind will not find true solace. In this composition, Sant Tukaram Maharaj has elucidated this thought with beautiful analogies. He says,
If roots of tree are watered well then there is no need to water its individual branches separately. This is because the soul blossoms when the roots are watered. And hence even if the Divine is sought by different names, One must seek Oneness of Supreme Lord earnestly.
Snake charmers often use a pot having many holes at its bottom. Instead of covering these holes separately, if the top end is tightly closed then water does not drain out from the holes. And hence One must remedy the root cause to facilitate the desired result. In another analogy he says that if One commands goodwill of King then everything else is bound to follow suit. The true devotee of Supreme Lord enjoys His blessings forever.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that Divine Lord is the root consciousness of the universe. To seek him is to transcend beyond body consciousness and hence to seek peace within. Life is short and no one knows when it will cease. One needs to hurry to seek Supreme Lord Vitthal at  Pandharapur, His abode of Eternal happiness. Blessed is One who finds that Kingdom of Divine lies within."
