आमचा विनोद ते जगा मरण I

करिती भावहीन देखोवेखी II

न कळे सतत हिताचा विचार I

तो हे दारोदार खाती फेरे II

वंदिले वंदावे निंदिले निंदावे I

एक गेले जावे त्याचि वाटा II

तुका म्हणे कोणी नाईके सांगतां I

होती यमदूतां वरपडे II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, it is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without heart, else rituals become GOD and ignorance has a mass appeal.

He says, unless we give a conscious thought to dispelling the clouds of ignorance, the repeated sufferings are inevitable.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, praise not because people praise, reproach not because others do and never be a blind follower, for doomed are those who turn deaf ears and seek their downfall by choice."
