It is said that "Eternal Essence expressing through matter is the manifested entity in each one of us. This Eternal Consciousness is the Self in all. All beings are in this Self, and Self is in all beings."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks of the sense of lacking he feels in his worship of the Divine Lord. Illustrating with beautiful analogies he says,
Futility of Sacred Bath of Divine Lord when He is water or futility of offering flowers and fragrances to Him when they are mere reflections of Him are same as offering of food to Him or offerings of metal of any kind beacuse He is One with them all. This sense of inadequacy makes him realise that as such nothing can be offered to God when He is everything.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that to seek the pursuit of Supreme Truth, One needs to break the bonds of material entanglements. The Knowledge of Supreme Self kindles in the bosom of only those who remain absorbed in the Holy Ram Nam, as it is One with the devotee and the Lord, for both are Secondless One. "
